Healthy, fast and cheap breakfast ideas to save you time in the morning

C080B9DE-A2C1-4284-B7BB-C030D364A98DYou read it everywhere nowadays. Eating healthy with lots of vitamins and proteins became the trend in today’s society. I think we can all admit that this can be quite difficult sometimes. Hitting the snooze button on your phone and cold winter days make us want to stay in bed as long as we can. Breakfast is the most important meal of the day though. There truly aren’t any good excuses to miss it. In this article I will help you a little bit and share some quick, nutritious and delicious breakfast ideas with you, so you can make the most out of the day (and stay in bed as long as possible).

Avocado toast with eggs

What do you need?

  • 1 avocado
  • 1 or 2 slices of bread
  • Little bit of salt and peper
  • 1 or 2 eggs

The first thing you do is toasting your slice of bread (you can use any kind, I prefer whole grain). Then it’s time for the eggs. You decide how you want them as well, but I think sunny side up is the best combination. While you’re waiting for your eggs to be ready, you can mash the avocado together. Once you’re done with that, you grab a fork and spread it evenly on your slice of bread. By this time your egg will probably be ready and you put it on top of your avocado spread. Add some salt and pepper and your breakfast is ready to be served!

Banana pancakes

What do you need?

  • 2 bananas
  • 4 tbsp. of self-raising flour
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 tbsp. of cinnamon powder for some extra flavour
  • You can add some fruit if you would like to

Mash the bananas together until it’s a nice and smooth mixture. Put the eggs, the flour, cinnamon and banana mixture in a bowl and mix it until it’s a nice batter. Make sure to turn the gas burner to medium heat and put some oil or butter in the skillet. Pour 2 tbsp. of batter into the skillet and wait for about 1-2 minutes until the pancake has a evenly golden colour. Repeat with the remaining batter until you have nothing left. Once all your pancakes are done, you have the option to add some fruit on top. Enjoy your delicious breakfast!

Yoghurt with fruit and granola

What do you need?

  • Some yoghurt that fills up about 3/4 of your bowl
  • 2 different kind of fruits (for example: strawberries and kiwi)
  • Granola
  • Some seeds (for example: chai seeds or flaxseeds)
  • 1 tbsp. of honey
  • Feel like you want to add something else? Use some of your own creativity!

This is probably the fastest recipe in this article. You pour the yoghurt into a bowl. Add the granola and honey. Mix this it up with the yoghurt. Cut the strawberries and kiwi or other fruits into small pieces. Put the fruit in a nice straight line in your yoghurt. Add the seeds in a straight line as well. And your quick and beautiful looking breakfast is ready to be eaten!

I hope you liked all these breakfast ideas. Do you know another delicious one that I didn’t mention? Tell me and the other readers in the comment section!
