Podcasts are becoming more and more popular each day. I first started listening to them about a year ago, because I wanted to hear something more valuable on my bike rides instead of music. And let me tell you, a world opened for me. I realized how much other people can educate you and explain topics you won’t have or learn at school. In this article I will share some of my favorite podcasts that probably will help you grow your business and why they’re worth your time.
- The Ikonn experience. I’ve been following Mimi and Alex for about three years now. They got multiple businesses together, share their way of life with their subscribers and just started this podcast. They’ve inspired me in many ways and they motivate me to chase my dreams. I had always hoped that they would make their own podcast just because I feel like so many people could learn from them and how they try to look at things on a positive side. The Ikonn experience is about creating and living your dream life. I could listen to Mimi and Alex for hours. They have so many interesting stories to tell. For example how they build and sold their multi-million dollar company LuxyHair. I can’t wait for more episodes and I would highly recommend listening to them instead of some music on your way to work.
- How I built this. This podcast is about how for example Instagram, JetBlue airways, Whole foods and many more companies all got started and how they became so huge in today’s society. Each podcast is about 40 minutes long, which makes it perfect to listen to while you’re cooking a meal. One of my favorites is the one about Whole Foods. The narrator tells you about how the owner, who was a college-dropout, scraped $45,000 together and opened his first grocery store. Why should you listen to how I built this? It gives you many details on how these entrepreneurs got started and developed their own huge company.
- Zero to Seven Figures Entrepreneurship. This is my favorite one to listen to when I’m on a short bike ride. The narrator has podcasts not longer than about 10 minutes. In these 10 minutes he tells you about all sorts of entrepreneurship topics. Some of them are about growing your audience, negotiating, having the right mind-set etc. Why should you take a look at this one? The guy provides great advice and is very straight to the point in just a couple of minutes. Long podcasts don’t necessary mean better podcasts. If you don’t have a lot of free time and you still want to educate yourself with some tips and tricks about improving yourself and your business, then this is the one you’ve been looking for.
- Jess Catorc: Online Entrepreneurship. I actually came across this one when I tried to search for a podcast by Mimi or Alex Ikonn (this was before they started the Ikonn experience). Jess Catorc interviews multiple entrepreneurs about online marketing strategies, networking, improving your mindset and so much more. The reason why I like this podcast so much, is because each episode is unique and I learn something new every time I listen to them. Why is it worth your time? Jess has a nice and calm voice and explains everything she talks about very clearly.
I hope I introduced you to some new and useful podcasts. Let me know what your favorite one is in the comments.
